AleG
For once this clown is correct. It is also exactly what he has wanted from day one. Blood in the streets to give the military a pretext to jump in. Vile selfish man that he is. Interesting denial at the end of who is supporting him and backing the PDRC. If there was no truth in the allegations then couldn't he have just let them slide without any comment. Obviously, the geriatric brigade is behind him 100% The end game begins on Friday, lets hope the end game itself ends swiftly and bloodlessly. Yep, the end game begins on Friday. Let's recap what the military said in 2006 why there was a coup: The official statement said the ousted leader had caused “an unprecedented rift in society, widespread corruption, nepotism, and interfered with independent agencies, crippling them so they cannot function. If [Thaksin's regime] is allowed to govern it will hurt the country. They have also repeatedly insulted the King. Thus the council needed to seize power.” And this happens to be the exact same situation we are in today. Therefor nobody should be surprised if a coup happens again. http://www.japantimes.co.jp/opinion/2012/01/25/commentary/conversations-with-thaksin-thailands-prime-suspect/#.UypoJNkwzRQ Amazing, is as if Yingluck was Thaksin's clone.

Mister Fixit
It is very possible, therefore, given Yingluck's consistent refusal to cooperate or even acknowledge the NACC, that she will leave public life with the Guinness Book of World Records award for going through public office without ever really having to speak to anyone. Well written, cogent analysis, Scamper. One slight addition to the sentence above - 'or to have achieved very much at all, apart from accumulating many negative remarks.' How do you come to this conclusion? It is a perfect description for the man in Dubai who is the Godfather of all of these events we have seen in Thailand over the years. But this new poster, [yet another one supporting Thaksin] is clearly trying to spin the propaganda lie that flies in the face of obvious events. Suthep (agreed, not my favourite character) has put his head on the block in order to try and finally drive a nail into the Shinawatra coffin. There are not many people worldwide - or certainly in Thailand - who would take such a strong and ethical stand in the interests of the poor majority in the face of the sociopathic Red God or his sister and the police force and the thugs who call themselves red shirt leaders. It takes a brave man, not a selfish man, to do this. Simply lying down and aiding Thaksin would have earned him millions of Baht which is what selfish politicians are doing .......

monkeycountry
The prophet of the south has spoken again !!! Any comment from the 'Profit of the North' yet? There is no profit in the north, which is partly why they invented the rice scam and other scams to steal from those outside the north who actually do make a profit. - I am sure they have plenty of prophets though, and lots of other silly superstitious non-profit stuff. PREM-R
He also dismissed allegation by redshirt leaders that Privy Council chairman Gen Prem Tinsulanonda is cooperating with the PDRC, and masterminding the conspiracy to overthrow the government. The usual unsubtle proxy attacks by the reds against the 93 year old Prem. Everybody knows who their real target is. I wonder who they will find to blame when Prem is gone and realise that he probably had nothing to do with any of this, as they are still loathed by a large number of people. There can be no doubt that there will be violence orchestrated by the caretaker government through its red shirt and MIB armed terrorist wings very soon in response to court and NACC decisions they don't like. The police, who never bothered to do anything except pot a few protestors at Phan Fa, during the SOE, are moving their checkpoints into place to ensure the killers can slip in and out unhindered and to prevent the army from getting involved. A caretaker government running a terrorist campaign will be a new achievement for the man in Dubai who will stop at nothing to hang on to power, get his Amnesty Bill passed and recover his lost billions, even if Thailand ends up as smoking rubble in the process. Then we will see the purge against anyone who ever opposed him, using judicial and extrajudicial methods. Soon Thailand will be awash with M16s, AK47s, M79 grenade launchers (in addition to the vast quantity of hand guns already here) being imported by the government and its opponents and placed in the hands of mentally unstable young punks who are otherwise unemployable. Ultimately they will use the weapons on for gang warfare and banditry the people who distributed them for their own selfish reasons without a second thought will not be able to put Humpty together again.. If you know anything about what this is all REALLY about then you will know that Prem is just keeping the chair warm for Thaksin. Enlighten us then as to what's really going on. " Enlighten us then as to what's really going on." I would love to but I doubt that George would fancy 15 years in Jail

rickirs
Suthep says it was certain Yingluck will not report to the NACC to hear malfeasance and corruption charges and defend herself. If there's anyone who knows more about refusing to report to hear criminal charges against oneself it's Suthep. Five Months now and counting? It seems the Court has little interest to hold Suthep accountable for his alleged murderous actions yet is pushing ahead within a month's time to judge Yingluck for negligence of duty. Why would that be, certainly not equality of judicial treatment under the law.

Do you expect the courts to stop everything until Suthep shows up?

benny1616
pretty obvious conclusion seeing the udd/reds have already said it will happen if their darling is found guilty, seems that the laws only apply to people that are not red supporters. The udd model of democracy in action, "do as we say, not as we do", plays a big part in it, if they do not get the results they want they will cause untold violence but then thai people are well aware of it after 2010. All suthep has done here is state the obvious. you really have no idea about thailand if you don´know the highest courts in thailand are yellow/king controlled and well paid from them :-D
