Does anybody have any methods for learning Thai words and phrases that they would like to share? Being new to this country I found visualizing these images a way of remembering a few phrases I use.

A few examples are (not using the correct Thai spelling);

* "This biro I own doesn't tell the truth" - my pen lie (no problem)

* "Vietnam prisoner of war" - Nam P.O.W. (bottled water)

* "North American forrest dwelling animal wearing a New York Yankees hat driving a squad car" - cop 'coon cap (thank you)

* "Strange hybrid between bovine and human" - cow man guy (Thai dish)

This is just for a laugh - nothing serious! I think it would be funny to see any more examples people may have!!

Could you please include the meaning of the Thai phrase so people who don't know can see what it is?

Edit for requesting English translation of Thai phrases
