Phuket police declare body on ground a suicide
Eakkapop Thongtub

PHUKET: -- A man found dead this morning on the ground near low-income government housing in Kuku most likely jumped from the flat roof of a nearby building, police believe.

The dead man, identified as Pongsak Pitchayapan, 47, was found by local people, lying on the ground next to one of the blocks of “Eua Athorn” (Sympathy) flats next to Karnkaeha, a slum area close to the sea, on the eastern edge of Phuket Town.

Nearby was his Samsung phone and his Honda PCX motorbike. Kusoldharm Foundation staff picked up the body and took it to Vachira Phuket Hospital.

Local people said they had not seen the man before, and were sure he did not live in the area, but police managed to locate a friend who said that Mr Pongsak worked in a hotel at Bangtao Beach and also had his own small business.

They are currently not treating his death as suspicious, working instead on the theory that Mr Pongsak jumped, possibly because of money worries.

Saving having to "think".

No tea money, why bother.

Case closed.

Case closed.

It said that?

....work...business...telephone...motorcycle.....

....and the reason for his actions being...???

....I guess case closed....???

....is a human life not worth an investigation....???

Sotirios, agree entirely. We don't know, we weren't there...

We can be comfortable though, all the expert expats have 'got the T-shirt' as it were...

I pray he found peace in death.

Is it just me...or is it not suspicious that all of these people who die from a hotel or condo fall...all commit suicide...?

Why would he go to an unfamiliar area...away from home and business...to commit suicide...?

Because of the large numbers of these types of deaths...this country needs to create a special task force trained to recognized foul-play vs suicide...

It is just so easy...to claim suicide...and sweep it under the rug...
