Passengers were just detained I think 6-8 hours on an American airline.The airline was fined.The US government received the money.I'm not sure the passengers received any compensation.

$1.1 Million. 939 passengers got $185K to split among them.

Still, just the fact that the bastards are paying out the nose is good "compensation". And even more important, maybe they'll think twice before they do it again.
