I recently sent and email go Bangkok Bank help desk in New York asking for the name of someone in nw York who handles funds transfers.

I am just providing this info for those who might want to contact someone about funds transfers from your U.S. bank to Bangkok Bank in Thailand ..... as many U.S. retirees living in Bangkok might want to do.

I seriously doubt many members have accounts held by that bank location. You transfer funds to Thailand by using your bank and SWIFT system for most would be retiree members. Those that have a Thai Bangkok Bank account open can also use ACH transfers using the Bangkok Bank New York routing number and normal Thailand account number. In no case is the name of anyone in New York required for these operations however.

It is certainly not possible to open personal accounts at Bangkok Bank's London branch, only commercial ones. Presumably the same is true for their New York branch?
