bkkmick
Hi I'm a 52yo (happily) married for 13 years to a Thai and we have two children. At the moment I am short the 400k to kick off the Non-O process again. I seem to remember that I cannot get a 1 year Non-O in KL any more. What is the best I can get from KL now? Thanks experts Mick
ubonjoe
In KL you would only get a tourist visa. If you go to Savannnakeht Laos you can get a multiple entry non-o visa based upon marriage with no financial proof needed.
bkkmick
Thanks Joe. That sounds like an option I'd like to try. I've been googling around and there are many versions of what to do. If we fly to Udon and stay over night are there any agencies that can handle the rest? (i.e. travel to Savannakeht?) The AirAsia flight gets in at 7pm so staying in Udon sounds like a must. A google search suggests it's about a two hour drive to Savannakeht so leaving early in the morning would work. Cheers Mick
ubonjoe
The closest airport is in Nakhon Phanom which is less than an hour away. Air Asia also flies there as well as Nok Air. Nok Air offers fly/ride service to Mukdahan. I think it may be more than a two hour drive from Udon Thani.
khwaibah
How about Lao Air. Bangkok to Savannakeht direct. http://www.laoairlines.com/
ubonjoe
How about Lao Air. Bangkok to Savannakeht direct. http://www.laoairlines.com/ Very costly compared to flying a domestic flight.
Issangeorge
I'm guessing you mean Ubon, not Udon, Udon would be a good 3 to 4 hours away, you would have to get a bus to KK and then a bus to Mukdahan, you would be better off to fly to KK or even Roi-et or take an all night bus, arrive at the Mukdahan bus station, early in the morning and take the border bus from there.
