Can my Thai wife do a Re-Entry visa for me at the local Immigration?

Why would anyone wish his wife to undertake this simple task .

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if you could just like the 90 days report, but also no idea. Sorry !

Actually, at the bottom of the re entry permit application form (TM8) is says "APPLICATION MUST BE MADE IN PERSON".

Now, does that mean the person leaving the Kingdom must apply, or that it cannot be done by post and must be made in person?

Not such a stupid question, why go yourself when someone else can do it for you?

I have lived here for 17 years and have NEVER done it myself...my accountant does it.

My wife does it when it is inconvenient for me to go and do it. never had a problem yet.

I think it would upon the immigration office you go to.

The form says you must do it in person. But it is evident that they let some agents, lawyers and etc do them.

You could send your wife with the completed TM8 form, required copies and your passport to try doing it.
