Anyone?

They are an arm & a leg on amazon.

I've been thinking about tile colour a fair bit.

I know that white is cooler (temp wise) but my pool will be mostly shaded from direct sun so I was thinking of a darker colouring.

We are in a rural location so I am assuming that a white tiled pool would really be a magnet for just about every flying bug there is come nightfall when it would the lights come on.

I have children with expectations of lots of running around the pool area so I will have sand wash flooring, can I add a dark stain to the mortar & what are the pros & cons of that?

Because of the large surface area due to all of the grains in the sandwash it is much more easy for algae to form. Sandwash will also deteriorate after about 4 or 5 years in that it becomes all loose. If you are going to build a concrete pool I suggest use tiles throughout.

These might help, Remember US gallons are different to UK ones

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/860767-swimming-pool-builders-code-usa-and-international-standards-reference-books/

UK home pool builders use SPATA guidelines .UK commercial sector us PWTAG guidelines and PAS 39 2003.

Contact the forum sponsor, for best advice, if you are thinking of DIY you must be really sure you know what you are doing in terms of construction and finish.

Try for the highest spec you can afford.

Good luck in your quest.

PS Plenty of plans construction/ drawings on google images,

Not sure if Asia swimming pool news is still in publication.
