much better don't understand any word of thai if you want live peacefully in the land

haha.

Perhaps, as they say ignorance is bliss.

Personally I'm glad I put the years in to become fully fluent.

Besides the mind numbing boring daily interations, you get to hear what they really think of farang. It isn't pretty, there's so much hatred there, all done with smiles of course. xbiggrin.png.pagespeed.ic.XhpYJIv77v.png alt=biggrin.png width=20 height=20>

Sad if that is a true reflection of belief.

Not in any way reflective of my own experience

I would have preferred not knowing any of this and would have went with Hi and replied Hi back with a smile. My readings here on this form to date suggest to me a form of total disrespect for the people whose country has accepted us into it. The talking down about our hosts is impossible for me to fathom. Makes me wonder why you all left the comfort of your own countries. Oh yeah the 30 to 1 monetary ratio that is relative to the daily living in your homelands. Show some respect and be the bigger person if you get disrespected smile and ingnor.

Must be something to do with what this guy looks like because in over 20 years in Thailand, I've never ONCE had anyone shout 'ai farang' at me.

What year did you pass your P6 exam OP?

I did my Por Hok a few weeks before Christmas, must have been 2005 or perhaps not. Perhaps a year or two later.

No more answers will be given to the troll. :)

Just undo some people's confusion.

It wasn't the pump attendent. biggrin.png

It was from one a few groups of lads sitting/hanging around the side of the forecourt. smile.png

Dont know where you are, if Bkk the pump attendents are probably form Burma.

For the local tuffs, a quick, arai wa, krai mee panhaa, or aow mai usually does the trick.

So local <deleted> kids for who a job at a pump would be a step up?

Is this worth a thread and worth tarring the rest of the populous?

Clearly the OP is a "sensitive" person!

On who becomes anxious when someone says "Hi" !

Wow! You must know everything. Being an expat in Thailand is very impressive.
