Jatuporn, Weng to opt out from next election

So we have one that says its lack of spine, the other that now they will be arrested with no immunity. Can the no brain section of this forum please make up their minds?

I have a third option. The 5 year bans of 2008 is gone for a lot of Thaksin allies. There might not be room for Jaturporn and Weng in parliament anymore.

bingo.

Not any places in the world that terrorist and criminals have the option to contest an election. Amazing Thailand indeed.

Don't know much do you! Adding to the list already lodged ....Kenya, Tanzania...........wake up, stop making uninformed stupid statements. coffee1.gif

Unless a national consciousness suddenly awakens and gets rid of this class divided society Thailand will enter a period of chaos that could end up by generating a lot of very uncomfortable times for the future. Like a lot of things in Thailand the population at large needs to wake up to the reality that the country is being destroyed by greed and corruption by those, whichever side of the political spectrum, are in power. If they allow themselves to be bought in a new election nothing will change.

Not sure you noticed I said "not many places". Take your own advice about the stupid statements, you make them near every day.

Of course i do , in your eyes, but then i believe in all people having a democratic vote, something that you obviously do not. And please do not reply with that "hairy" old statement about buying votes as both sides do it, it is part of Thai politics. Not so long ago a female Yellow shirt candidate complained that she had got only 14,000 votes having paid for 25,000 and was asking for a recount.

You see there you go again, with the stupid statements.

Some how you think you know me and what my views are like we have met in person before.

Was the original post the extent of this headline? Was that the totality of the news report in the Nation? Why did TV bother posting this? No information, just an attempt at filling in space.

Aw, daddy (Thaksin) couldn't bank roll their campaign funds? Perhaps daddy knows that he'll be wasting his money on two clowns. He rather use that money to get his whole clan out because the [ema

=S@%5E*T]S^#*T[/email] about to hit the fan.

If Daddy (Thaksin) only pays for results why does he persist with the perennial legal loser Noppadom. This guy has lost every task set him in recent times even with the aid of a lunch box. I think Thaksin likes sychophantic brown nosers even more than achievers. Its the desert sun you know.

The danger is that, if surrounded by 'yes-men' and sycophants, the far-off deep-thinker becomes increasingly out-of-touch, and risks making ever-greater mistakes & misjudgements.

But he still needs his local mouthpiece, to relay his orders & rantings from afar, and get some local media-coverage for them.

Or people would forget who 'He' used to be ! wink.png

More interesting to wonder are Weng & Jatuporn rats, deserting the foundering ship, or merely gaining some distance from his current political-party before instigating actions, which Dear Leader wishes to be less-closely linked to ?

It should be an interesting week-end, to round-off an interesting week.

Will the various rallies attract any great support, will there be many more mysterious 'third hand' grenades & gunshots, will former-caretaker-ministers continue to act as if they were still in-caretaker-charge, and will their former-subordinates still obey them ?

Never heard of Nelson Mandela, Yasser Arafat, Menachen Begun, Jomo Kenyatta... Never heard of the United States, where convicted criminals don't just run, but currently serve in many legislatures? Are you absolutely positive, certain beyond doubt that no criminals run for office in Britain, the mother of all parliamentary election-democracy? You're sure, right?

The very short list above includes ACTUAL terrorist convicts, not just alleged by the Thai Visa Bureau of Investigation. Real ones. Seems it really is a small world after all, for some. Amazing world, eh?

Was the original post the extent of this headline? Was that the totality of the news report in the Nation? Why did TV bother posting this? No information, just an attempt at filling in space.

TV bothered posting this because it is a significant political announcement that may have much *more* significance in either the near and/or the far future. TV posted it because it is a fact that people interested in Thai politics MUST know, and because it could actually affect your life down the road. These are quite important people in the highly convoluted maze that makes our politics of today, and it is good to know verified factlets when available.
So. That's why. Since you found no information at all, why did you bother reading it and then continue on with the subject by responding? It seems to me, at least, that a better question for someone who is not interested in the information might be, "I don't care what they do not do, but what are these people going to do instead of running for parliament, then?" That's a pretty good question, actually.

The day ideologists fighting for a noble cause opt to be involved in Thai politics is the day they stop being ideologists but rather self-serving greedy opportunists.

If they were true to their cause they would never have even considered contesting for a political position. Instead they should focus their efforts to support leaders who share their views. Once you roll in the mud your legitimacy and integrity is questionable.

So, without parliamentary immunity and given the bail conditions, should theoretically be behind bars again, soon.

Apparently immunity means nothing just ask Benito Suthep ! clap2.gif

Difference is, Suthep never tried to hide behind a parliamentary immunity.... he quit before taking the PDRC to the streets.
