Thailand 3 month return ticket, Visa/Entry Help?

Featured Replies

I'm an Irish/British National, holding two passports. I will be entering Thailand june 6th for 3 months, I have a return ticket in september. I don't have a visa, was under the impression i can obtain 30 day visa exemption stamp when i arrive. Will they ask me for ON-GOING travel documents at the airport in Amsterdam or Bangkok? Should i book a 60 day tourist visa, when i certainly don't want to spend more than 30 days in Thailand? or can i just board without issue, get my visa exemption stamp then follow my feet..

I plan on travelling through neighbouring countries then re-entering Thailand at the end of my trip, but i do not wish to book this ahead of time, as I'm still deciding whether to take the slow-boat into Laos or bus into cambodia ect.

I like the thought of playing it by ear, and not having an itinerary wrote in stone.

Anybody any Visa advice for those flying out there on a 3 month return ticket?

ta folks :)

Without a return or onward ticket out of the country within 30 days of arrival you can be denied boarding your flight.

You have the choice of buying a low cost ticket to a nearby country within the 30 days or getting a single entry tourist visa.
