Help With Film Title

Hi

Years ago and I mean very late 80's or early 90's I watched a film on, I think, one of the BBC channels. It was about a group of blokes from the UK who flew over to Thailand to meet their prospective Thai wives. Back then, as a teenager, the significance of the film wouldn't have been there but I'd very much like to get hold of it again. It wasn't one of the numerous documentaries that have since been made but actaually a film.

As I recall, the film centred around the chaps and their trip over there, to be met by another Englishman who for a price made the introductions. Some of the relationships worked, others didn't.

It was a kind of Shirley Valentine type film but with some blokes in it.

Now married to a Thai I'd love to get hold of it and watch it again.

Can anybody help me? I'll probably get 100 responses saying it had a cult following amongst Ex-pats and I'm stupid not knowing.

Thanks.

I remember seeing a movie about three guys who went to the Philipines to find wives. It was on AandE an artsy channel in the US. I think it was called something like Filipina Lovedolls or something like that. It was on the Arts channel on cable because it was adult in nature but not really pornographic. I think I remember once scene where one of the guys gets a massage from a girl and she walks on his back. In the end, one guy marries a young maid, another marries a bargirl or working girl, but the third I'm not sure about.

Just a note. This movie didn't inspire me to come to Asia although it was interesting. I think I've always been attracted to Asian women. I remember watching lots of Japanese and Chinese movies as a kid. And there were the cartoons. I do believe that all the media together had an influence on me.

Nah! LOL! Totster, that was the Three Dumb Baboons!

Hilarious stoner movie (so stoned at that time, YEARS AGO, that I´m not even sure if it was just some plot my two friends and I played out ourselves in the living room.... :o )

HI

What about musketeers? :o

I also remember the film with Charlie Drake and the ratcatcher with lightening quick reactions.

Very amusing. S'pose you now have title. Although I thought it was based in LOS not Phillipines as name suggests.

TBWG :D
