OAG to make final decision on fate of TV host
The Nation

BANGKOK: -- The Office of the Attorney-General (OAG) will meet with the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) on May 30 to make a decision on the fate of TV news anchor Sorrayuth Suthassanachinda in relation to a Bt138-million embezzlement scandal.

In September 2012, the NACC filed charges of embezzlement and bribery against Sorrayuth after its investigative panel concluded that he had embezzled Bt138 million from the revenues of state-run MCOT and allegedly paid off MCOT staff to help conceal records of the agency's actual income.

The NACC unanimously decided to press charges against Sorrayuth, MCOT staff and Sorrayuth's company - Rai Som, which co-produced the "Kui Kui Khao" show for the state-run channel. The show ran from 2004 to 2006.

According to Isra News Agency, the NACC's Pakdee Pothisiri, who chairs the investigative panel, said the OAG would hold a final meeting to discuss all loopholes in the case before making a decision on the indictment. He added that if the meeting made no progress, then the NACC would withdraw the case and file another separately.

I think it has to do with politic and the fact that his news were mostly against PDRC. If it is an embezzlement case, I hope the case goes through a complete court hearing processes.

But...."I paid the embezzeled funds back."....(so he says)....."I'm innocent"...???

The catchcry of all Thai fraudsters......

The volumes dealing with farang who game the border-crossing-visa-exemption-rule was just severely edited, along with the I'm-learning-Thai-education-extension opus, soon to be followed by the I-never-do-90-day-reports tome. Many of these œuvres d'imagination are cross referenced in the weighty Farang Fantasy Factory Comic Book index.
