Last March, the Thai officers are quite ok & the Malaysian side is still ok in despite asking some strange questions like "please tell me the passport number in your memory" so he can compare... phuketsub Posted June 21, 2014 Share Posted June 21, 2014 I was in Betong two days ago and they said the Betong-Haad Yai run through Malaysia was still not running, so you have to do the crazy roller coaster ride ride though Bannang Sata, etc. What a ride: it's one of the most up-and-down, hairpin turn roads I have ever driven on, and when there is a short stretch of remotely flat/straight surface, they throw in one of those crazy chicane/checkpoints.
