Yes, the decisions were condemned by PT and the reds domestically but were welcomed by the PDRC and many others.

Can you show the source for the international condemnation?

I can't recall seeing any opinions, only reporting of facts.

It seems hard to say at this stage since the legal arguments are quite complex. Here is a dissenting view from an academic lawyer, for example.

http://www.prachatai.com/english/node/3960

I don't find the Constitutional Court judgement unreasonable.

The "dissenting view" doesn't disagree with the fact that Yingluck was found guilty under Article 268. He argues the point on how the Court judged which Cabinet Ministers should go. Fair enough. The written rule says the whole Cabinet should go, but the Court judged this to be unreasonable. The Court decided not to follow the letter of the law, but went a bit soft; fair enough; it's their call. You can argue over where to draw the line; likewise fair enough.

getting the police to file charges because he is too chicken sh*t to do it himself and doesnt want to personally upset anyone, what a wimp. Actually he does remind me of mr whimpy, same fat ugly face and deadpan look that shows us the porch light is on but no-one is at home

The police force is controlled by Thaksin, is it any surprise?

Thaksin's cousin, Surapong has been a disgrace ever since he set foot in office. His first order of business was to hand-deliver a passport. He has brought disgrace to himself by thinking himself above the law, and he brings disgrace to himself now by ludicrously trying to hold the law itself accountable. His actions are Thaksin's actions. It is Thaksin's own anger at the Constitutional Court that fuels this. As always, Thaksin simply can't help himself. In the midst of this crisis - which all started with his silly self-amnesty bill - he still can't resist having his minions defying the law. Surapong's very presence is a contempt of court. He refuses to abide by the Constitutional Court ruling. Surapong simply refuses to abide by the law. Surapong, Thaksin and Chalerm - they all have defied the law, and are as such a continual blessing to the PDRC - the gifts that keep on giving. Their presence and their continual provocative actions give life to the reform movement. They simply remind people what brought the reform movement to the streets in the first place. And actions like these will simply keep them there.

Look at the eyes, like a reptile.

He surely has the looks of someone who could do very nasty things.

That kind of thinking has put people in jail and is very Thai. It is dangerous thinking and ignorant. They believe that a pretty person was 'good' in their last life and is being rewarded, and they think ugly people were 'bad' in their last life and are being punished for it.

In the West, a very good study found that 'pretty people' were not only given consistently lighter sentences for crimes, but that 'pretty people' were judged by their supervisors as being excellent employees, even though records checked showed that they were 'late to work' more often than the uglies and generally were below average on all measurable assessments.

Duh. We are beasts, we just don't like that idea...

Interesting indeed. I have to admit that his actions might have influenced my view because I wasn't comparing him with a good looking person.

The Royal Thai Police have a counter corruption division?

Must be an inactive post.

First I've of heard of the CCD... If it's the equivalent of a western police IAD there's little wonder I haven't.

To TV. Actually my Thai wife asked me to ask George if perhaps the names of government ministries could be put on a permanent page here in English and Thai, so that there is no ambiguity or confusion in responding to particular posts.

Look at the eyes, like a reptile.

No-one laughed louder than me at David Icke, when he said the world's ruling classes were comprised of "shape-shifting reptilia". But looking at Surapong, he may well have been correct after all!

And the intellectual debate from the PDRC fanclub hits yet another new low. Seems every final push lowers the bar.

The Courts decisions were a real travesy and were widely reported and commented on around the globe. Pretty much every report managed to stay above the playground level of peoples appearance. Every where apart from on here it seams. Am sure if we were to direct personal insults at you in this manner that you would be running and squealing for the mods to come to your aid.

The judges will know along with anybody else that if Suthep loses his coup, they could well be toast after this!! Lets hope so.

Yet, oddly, never proven to have been wrong. Specially not by the "Judicial Coup" chorus.

Kangaroo Court, guess the judgement will be proven significantly wrong in the future when your chosen side is wiped out by their decision. An election is the only way to let the Thai people decide, and I guess that leaves you out!

None of likes you give show a condemn from Foreign government about remove of YL or move of Thai court , it is just some analysis of the situation or report about Constitutional court reject Constitution amendment . No condemnation in these reports...... you always jump to faster in conclusion.... Select your source or read these reports before post it if you don't want to lose face....................

The only US message is :" The State Department on Wednesday reacted to a decision by the Thai Constitutional Court to unseat Yingluck as it typically does in response to the grimly familiar episodes of upheaval in the Southeast Asian nation: by urging calm and calling for a democratic resolution."

I agree, the court should have sentenced them to the fire squad for the damage the Thaksin clan has done to the country, but I'm not sure they have the power for that.

Suthep and the PDRC have caused way more damage to Thailand than Thaksin ever did. Why do so many seem to ignore the great deal of good Thaksin did for this country, the construction of hospitals and medical centres in rural locations, affordable health care, low interest loans to help the poor and new business, the pay off of Thailands debt to the International Monetary Fund 4 years before schedule, the economic boom of its industries pulling Thailand out of the Asian financial crisis to name a few. What has Suthep ever done - look at the nationwide Police Station reconstruction project, just hundreds of abandoned construction sites, if they even got that far (whatever happened to all that money anyway - probably ended up in the same place as all those donations from happy clappy whistle blowers eagerly handing over cash to help the poor rice farmers - back pocket?).

For memory Mr AMSTERDAM is not a foreign envoy just one of theses reds criminals how try to destroy this Country and support children murders

From Daily Press Briefing of Department of States, United States.....

"QUESTION: Yes. Do you have any comments on the ouster of Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra?

MS. PSAKI: Mm-hmm. I believe I do. One moment.

All right. We are, of course, closely following Thai political developments, including the constitutional court decision to remove Prime Minister Yingluck and several cabinet members from office. We continue to urge all sides to resolve Thailand’s political tensions in a peaceful and democratic manner so that the Thai people can choose political leadership they deserve.

In keeping with Thailand’s democratic ideals, a resolution should include elections and an elected government. We urge all sides at this time to exercise restraint and reaffirm that violence is not an acceptable means of resolving political differences.

QUESTION: Thank you.

QUESTION: Thank you.

MS. PSAKI: All right. Thanks, everyone.

How idiotic. The judges followed the rule of law and made sure it applied to all parties involved. Also you and the Red shirts are the only ones condemning this. The international community is not involved or perhaps you can share a link from another country that is stating their outrage at the courts decision.

Justice has been served wether you agree with it or not. None are above the law and it is crystal clear the transfer was made to allow family to move into that job. GUILTY
