May 21, 201412 yr Hello I’m holding a Hong Kong passport. The first 2 months of my tourist visa is up next week. It also happens that next week I need to fly to HK for 2 weeks before returning to Bangkok. My question is: should I get a re-entry or just fly out and back, since in both cases I would get 30 days and a 7-day extension. Is there any advantage either way? Clearly, in case of re-entry, I’d pay more. I’ve never obtained re-entry before. Only at Lardprao, or is airport just before my flight possible? Thank you
May 21, 201412 yr A re-entry permit would give you no additional time unless you got the 30 day extension before applying for it. And that would only give you a couple of weeks when you return. You should just get a visa exempt entry when returning or apply for a new tourist visa while in Hong Kong.
