Expired date

Re: 1-year 'O' visa date will be expired on 16 December 2014 (before) as shown in the visa label

If I plan to do the border run on 15 December 2014 & return to Thailand in that same day,

What will the renewal of the expired date be? Is it correct that the border run may stamp it with 3 earlier days? (i.e. 11 or 12 March 2015 instead of 14 March 2015?)

The reason I raise this question is to book a flight with cheaper cost in advance this month.

Appreciate any calculations. blink.pngsmile.pngblink.png

With a valid non-O visa, upon re-entry into Thailand you get a new permisison to stay for 90 days, not 85 or 89 days. Day of entry is day 1, so add 89 days extra.

It will be 90 days from entry that includes the date of entry. That gives you a permitted to stay date of March 14.

Of course, I should have known that earlier - yes, I should verify first entry date and count next 89 days.

Thank u very much. Please close this quick topic.

Please hang on, if any of you have a difficulty to count 90 days, you can try below

dim a
a=datediff("d","15-dec-2014","14-mar-2015")
msgbox ("*** Nos of days = ") & a

Copy these 3 above lines and paste in notepad (any windows) and save it as xxxx.vbs (rename from txt to vbs)

Then doubleclick it for answer!

Cheers

Or just open the Calculator in Windows and select Date Calculation from the View menu.
