Are You Tired Of Reading Comments On Political Topics?

Featured Replies

Here is the solution:

Go to: Thailand News, search " Thailand Live" the thread with this nice lock in front and the actual date behind, "enjoy" reading the articles without any comments... that's what i do, in times like this... thank you,TV, this is a good idea to give some info without 20+ pages rubbish attached.

Must admit it's what I do a lot of the time to avoid the keyboard warriors smile.png

Just good 'ol beer without the froth.

With all due respect, kind of defeats the purpose of reading news on a forum.

I usually don't read past the first page of satire anyway.

what's happening?

Yea i guess so, just i figured most people could figure this out by themselves with needing to start a topic about it....

I disagree that all the comments are rubbish. I enjoy reading all the perspectives on different topics and why this is called the Thai visa forum, or perhaps the OP hasn`t realised this fact. Plenty of other ways to read the news online for those who prefer not to see the comments.

This is a forum. Not a newspaper. Forums without members inputs are not forums. If you want a newspaper buy one. If you want television buy one. Do not blame a forum members for making it what it should be even if you do not agree with them. Disagree with what they say if you like. Express that disagreement if you like. Hang on...that is what the people making comments are doing as forum members.

The problem is that so many are drunk on the kool-aid of either side. They believe they are fighting some sort of moral war, when in reality there is no moral high ground in this conflict. It is two sides that want the same thing and they will do whatever it takes to get it. It's about power, wealth, and arrogance.

Aligning yourself with either party brings you way down to arguing over whose corruption is the best brand. An embarrassing position to be in. Yet the news threads are awash with these useful idiots (useful to thugs and fascists) these automatons that broadcast the party line, and no thread is safe from it.

Yes thank you for the locked news threads with headlines. I don't know how we could get on without them.

Whilst I agree with both of you folk, I also understand some of the OP's displeasure.

Regarding the political threads there seems to be a certain number of boof heads that only seem to exist for the purpose of inflaming members on the political threads. These arnt guys with just opinions, or opinions opposite to mine, these guys are in another league all together. Many of them seem hell bent on pedalling absolute rubbish and utter nonesense at all costs. They want to force their opinion Dow. your throat and stamp on your head In the process. These same people seem unable to accept any alternate point of view. FULL STOP.

They must lead bitter and twisted lives.

Most normal people can acknowledge that no particular person or party is perfect, these guys however have amazing rose tinted glasses and thick heads.

Maybe realising there are people like that both on ThaiVIsa and in society is an important thing to do and seing them here with their repeated one point argument is important too.

I never thought Beetlejuice and I would agree so closely on anything smile.png

Or do yourself a favour and don't bother reading any of it. Third world politics is the same in every poor country. It's not like we can vote here or have any influence.

Ah come on, without the idiots, the nonces, the Fascists, the Nazis, the racists, the bigots, the lefties, the insane, the abusive, the law breakers, the Thai politics revolutionaries and the losers to lash into here on Thai visa, these forums wouldn`t be half as fun.

I must say that in my opinion the majority of Thai visa members are OK types of people and I respect them. They do have interesting things to say and contribute many constructive and informative comments on these forums. Especially considering that many of us are old hands and have a lot of good advice to contribute for those still finding their way here. So it`s not all rubbish as some like to make out and the benefits of these open forums for us ex-pats and the newbies far out weighs the fruit cakes that sometimes infiltrate these threads or at times even create them.
