What else is there to do once the TV is off?

Nearly all TV channels aside from the main foreign news networks are working now, at least on True satellite. Have been for a couple of days. Movies, documentaries, series, etc both Thai and Englsh language. Also Sophon cable had the Al Jazeera English language news on a day or two ago.

If TV is antidote to gambling, it is available.

The General just said there will be stiff penalties for illegal gambling dens. Curious if these people are going to feel his wrath.

An unusually small amount of cash for a casino, I think.

Where are all our "tea money" knee jerkers?

Really no need to state the obvious....It is clear at this point there is a new

sheriff in town, and the old days of underground casinos paying off the police

for protection to the tune of 50,000 baht per month are gone. The

sacking of the Pattaya chief police was the first shot over the bow, and a sign

that things have changed. I almost feel bad for they guy. He must have paid

a mountain of money to be the chief of police for Pattaya, and now with no

job, he has no way to get the money back.... Curious that he was sacked,

and then a big casino raid right after.
