Pattaya-May 27- at 10.00 am. Pattaya Daily News reporters were informed by expats and local people that large holes have appeared in road near the Pattaya Provincial Court, some of the holes are 10-15cm in depth and half a meter in width. After notification they rush to survey the scene and found 2 large holes beside the road near a drainpipe. The holes are rectangle and posts have been put in them in order to prevent anyone going into them.

Mr Toong and Mr Fun motorcycle taxi riders revealed that the holes have been there for over a month and nobody had done anything about them. In addition they have caused many motorcycle accidents because the holes are on a curve next to a conjunction.

And long sections of Sukhumvit are without lights and have been for months. There will be deaths. In some countries, the local council would be sued for such negligence.

On the topic of the holes, this is a new road and maybe the builder or whoever awarded him the contract should also face judicial action.

Strange story and mostly bullshit. It is right up the street from me. The holes were dug there

about a week and a half ago by the contractor clearly doing some work for the construction

project right next to the road. Pretty sure they were connecting some drain pipes. They

obviously filled the dirt back in without compacting it, nor did they put any kind of

asphalt patching on top of it. Just typical crap work, the dirt settled, and now there are deep

depressions in the road that could perhaps knock someone off their bikes if they did

not see it. In the land of no liability, be sure you can see at all times what is in front of you...
