Forkinhades
Hi Peeps I have finally managed to conduct a test on my MEN connection. First I measured the Za of my rod which was 16 ohms, yep all ok with that, I know my RCBOs will open in the time required. With the MEN connection installed, I then measured Ze at the Distribution Board. Which measured a very respectable 0.33 ohms!! My installation is with type B MCB's, and all my circuits actually comply without the need for RCBO protection (safety Cut)!! However I do have RCD protection as well, which gives a nice 'belt and braces' feel to it. So if you are brave enough, and actually know that MEN has been installed in your village (enquiry to PEA is a must), I most certainly do recommend doing this connection!!
