Thailand tourist numbers drop by 10 pct

Featured Replies

Isn't the 'forward' booking that may reveal a larger problem?

I wonder what the arrivals will be for July, August, Sept etc?

Friends coming from Australia in July

Airfare are up 10%

and booking costs at Hotels up 15% over last year

In Pattaya you now have to pay a loading for weekend bookings

seems the Thais do not know their is a shortage

Or they have increased the fees to cover their losses

article from today states:

Phuket = 60% lower from Australia, 40% lower China

and, who made up the difference??

answer: no one.

I expect the entire Dept of Tourism will be in jail within days for being brave enough to report tourism has dropped--how dare a govt agency report a negative statistic!!!!

Yep..I know what you mean when under the good ole days of the Shinawatra criminals you were probed and sacked for telling the truth when it didn't suit (young lass now at the NACC who first blew the whistle on the Rice Scam) or encouraged and accepted to tell absolute dishonest lies when it suits (only 'white lies' according to the Shinawtra criminals) to international investors in regard to Thailand economic forecast. Its wonderful that all that low life Shinawatra lack of morals and values is being swept into the crap heap where it belongs by the Junta.
