I have seen more bad advice than good from High Street Thai Lawyers. Especially Family Law which in general Thais ignore. You would be better off posting on the Family Forum here, and depending on the compexity of the problem, see a Bangkok, or at least Korat lawyer.

I''m not sure where your area is I know an excellent Lawyer in Nong Kia, who speaks english and works almost excllusively with farrangs. I will be glad to give you the information if it is of any help.

I don't know about Burriram but Sambard in Korat comes recommended by farangs.

Don't forget lawyers in Thailand are "jacks of all trades". Make sure you ask if he specializes in Family Law. Most outside Bangkok do not, but will happily take your money.

Sanan Jitsuparp is a good lawyer ,who lives in Nang Rong. I will have contact details for you tomorrow. He has done a couple of Farang divorce cases .

Afarang, look at the original OP's date. It's 5 years old. I'm sure he'll have sorted his problem out by now .

As we both know, some around here never know what day it is, it makes sorting the years out increase by a factor of 365
