about 45minutes ago the wf.started shouting for me to go out into the garden,she had the dog and told me she nearly picked up a snake thinking it was a piece of wood.it was just laying stretched out in the sun,i could clearly see the v on the back of its head to know it was a viper,so I am sorry to say I had to dispose of it with my tree lopper.

yes it was a russels viper the first we have had in the garden about 70cms.long and not frightened at all.
