I am looking to buy some residential land to build a home on Samui or Phangan. Will fly over from Pattaya in a couple of weeks. Looking for some honest, no b.s. companies. 20 yrs. + in Thailand and familiar with all the gimmicks. Very happy to get some local Samui feedback. Thank you very much. MS>

I recommend Kalara in Bophut.

I have worked with them for many years and found them to be one of the best.

PM sent with details

Honestly, your best bet is to visit several of the " Known " so called agencies & make up your own mind. Real estate agents in Thailand / Samui do not have the same regulations / criteria / training as overseas . Anyone can open a real estate.smile.png.pagespeed.ce.CwSpBGGvqN.png

Samui Estate Corporation were always good. Chaweng Ring Road, Google for details. Kalara tend to promote their own developments over independent listings

Come on Rooo. You can do better than that. The OP asked for local feedback.

I have been dealing with real estate companies on Samui for almost 14 years. Admittedly, rentals - not sales.

In the last 5 years I have worked with at least15 companies and spoken to loads more (lots with Russian accents recently) In my experience, Kalara are head and shoulders above the rest. I have been dealing with them pretty much every week - certanly every month, since they opened and were called Engel & Volkers (2008 ish?).

Other agents that I used to deal with -

Horizon Homes - now have their own developments - I deal with them now and again. Not very often.

Samui Estates - now have their own development - or with partners. I have not spoken to them for at least 4 - 6 years)

but as the OP is looking to buy land - own development is not really an issue

I have also had several dealings over the years. Only in the last couple of years a breath fresh air has been injected in the local scene.

I will send a PM to the OP, but sorry Trop I have a very bad view of the so called real estate agents on this island. As I said there are a few good ones but they are in the minority.
