anders99
there are many Chinese online store, they offer warranty. Just like one: geekbuying, I mentioned in the post, they offer one year warranty.
muratremix
For warranty you have to send phone to china, costs 15-20 usd one way trip. 40 usd is promo price and normally it is more expensive than that. You better spend more money and get something costs more than 100 usd if you want something better. beau thai
I bought the Huawei Ascend 511 from lazada- now less than 3k baht I think, delivered c.o.d. Huawei are the 3rd largest mobile seller after Apple and Samsung and amazing value IMHO. Good luck with whatever you buy

Note is a generic word, nobody can trademark it and I doubt chinese companies give a f***k about trademarks. 8 core mtk cpu provides decent performance for the buck, it has fast mali 450mp4 gpu at 700 mhz and antutu score is 27,000 compared to 35,XXX of Snapdragon powered S5/Z2 but at less than 1/3 price. If you mean replicas with samsung brand in front, they are not the chinese mobile phones we're talking about. Replica phones are very poor quality and comes with fake specs (fake cpu speed, fake amount of ram etc)

May I ask you two, three questions: Important: What's about the camera quality, is it usable in darker rooms (flash light?)? Does it come with a "notification LED", for missed calls, messages, etc. (I ask, because my Asus Fonepad doesn't have one for some reasons) How long does the battery last (with a little bit Line/Whatsapp, 30min telephony/day, taking/watching fotos etc) Display brightness ok? Thanks. Edited June 18, 2014 by Turkleton

Thanks. I gave redmi note to sister in law for a few days but I'll check once I received phone. Most of the phones I played with (mediatek cpu) had notification led so I assume this model also has one. It has good camera (BSI 13mp) but I doubt it can be compared to LG G2 camera or iPhone 5s camera under low light because mediatek soc does not have top notch DSP that performs miracles under low light / high iso. Still, it takes good photos. Battery should last longer than most phones because it comes with big 3100 mah battery. Display brightnes was okay thanks to LTPS IPS panel, it is not dim like older chinese mobile phones with ips display. Here is some photos I've taken with redmi note (at around 17.50 time) https://www.dropbox.com/s/z81kobdszu6pdw3/IMG_20140614_175103.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/oaa521sbaehpnec/IMG_20140614_175110.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/mzgbpb3slicd5s6/IMG_20140614_175137.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/xgverrao9mouhd0/IMG_20140614_181809.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/mh5x6ovcw4kqvlp/IMG_20140614_181820.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/fjejirb4yxdkxbu/IMG_20140614_181917.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/6lo5mriycb3h4im/IMG_20140614_181934.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/z7mtt7l3n79nlje/IMG_20140614_181947.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/bbhex6mzxchs3sx/IMG_20140614_182018.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/dox77ntjanh7euq/IMG_20140614_182033.jpg
