Pong Nam Ron is the border checkpoint also known as Ban Laem. The passport stamps you get there are printed as "Pong Nam Ron" however, and not Ban Laem. Either way, Pong Nam Ron is a border district of Chantaburi province next to Cambodia's Battambang province and very close to Pailin (only 20km away by road) - Ban Pakkard, another crossing in Chantaburi is also nearby and is also about 20km from Pailin and around 25km south of Pong Nam Ron.

Ban Phu Nam Ron, on the other hand, is as ubonjoe states in Kanchanaburi province, opposite Myanmar's Thanintharyi (Tenasserim) division.

Thanks for that.

It might of been a not enough coffee moment this morning. But Ban Laem would of been more familiar to me. As well as Palin.
