Ais 1-2 Call Prepaid Internationsl

Featured Replies

Is it possible to get AIS 1-2 Call. To enable a PrePaid phone (Buy cards etc.) to allow international calls when travelling say in singapore or hong kong or do they only offer that with post paid phones.

Thanks

Why would you as a farang want to support a company who by the chairmans own words don't need farangs?

Because been using the same number for 2 years and dont want to change and inform all my contacts so i am stuck.

Believe me I have tried to change but you cannot port the number.

International roaming can be enabled on AIS/1-2-Call pe-paid SIMs. You'll need to contact the Call Center at 1175 (or 02 271 9000) press 2 for English CSRs, or you can send email to [email protected]

Roaming charges are quite high (expensive) for both inbound and outbound calls.

You cannot send international SMSes when roaming, but you can receive them, for free!

To make a call say back to Thailand, when roaming you'd enter: *131*66nnnnnnnn# and hit send. A connection is made to the party you are calling and they may get an announcement, then your phone rings and you are connected.

Generally speaking it is better to buy a pre-paid SIM in the country you are visiting.

AIS offers what I would call traditional international roaming (direct dial) for post-paid customers, AFAIK. It may require registration or selection of a particluar plan?

In this thread I posted some then current pricing and other details.
