astral
Ever since I purchased my Minix Neo 7 android box I have been looking for suitable sw to play music Most offerings do not see the usb disks or have trouble playing complete folders, without fiddling to set up play lists (My main interest is classical music and I do not want to have to start every movement of a symphony manually) Recently I have started using XBMC as my video player and am very happy with it, so I decided to see how it managed with music I was delighted. It handled every FLAC file that I threw at it: 192khz 96khz 88khz 44khz (standard cd format) It even correctly decoded a sample of multichannel FLAC Start at the beginning of a folder it will play right through without any intervention needed. My compliments to the writers of this excellent software

joncl
xbmc is free from http://xbmc.org so download it and enjoy .. I personally use the 4K UHD M8 boxes rather than minux, but everyone to themselves ..
damole
I use it on my Android TV box plugged into an external DAC connected to my HiFi. This way with the YATSE remote control on my Android tablet I don't need my TV on and it has now completely replaced my old and now defunkt Logitech Squeezebox.
