Windows technical department spam calls?

Just someone call me windows technical department Iam from Microsoft you understand I hang up phone imidiatly , how this spam looks like come maybe from Philippine ?

Did you ever give Microsoft your phone number?

Microsoft do have call centres in various places around the region, but I've never heard of them cold calling, only calling back when you have an active support ticket.

Have you tried calling the number that called you?

You missed a great opportunity, Microsoft are probably adding Sandman as an an additional language in Windows 9 and wanted your help with the tranlations.

Microsoft never calls. The have no reason to. Biggest old scam been going around for years. Calls from people claiming to be from Microsoft telling you they found a problem on your computer are scamer's. Ask yourself this question, how do they know there is problem with "your" computer simply by monitoring the Internet? Can't be done unless someone planted "malware" on your computer. Then you need to ask how did they do that? It means they if did, they did it illegally.
