August 2, 201411 yr Cocaine disappears from French police headquarters 1 August 2014 Last updated at 18:40 BST French police seized 50kg of cocaine which was then securely stored at the headquarters of their judicial police, but it has disappeared. Only three senior officers had keys to the room it was in and it is still unknown what happened to the drugs. If it was stolen by a corrupt officer or officers it could prove serious problems for the force, but some theorise it may have been moved as part of internal political wrangling amongst the officers. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-28612803 [bbc]2014-08-02[/bbc]
August 2, 201411 yr This is the French Police and not the constabulary of a banana republic . So, the second explanation is more likely to be true. But, if it was competition between different departments, then the French government should think of restructuring their police forces, I guess. (50 kg = more than 6 mio Euro)
