Mexican Visa For Thai Lady

I was wondering if any one on this board has experince with getting a Thai lady a tourist visa to Mexico. I live in the US only a few miles from the mexican boarder. It would be a good place to visit with her.

Background:

She has been rejected two times for a US tourist visa.

She has in the past travel extensively throughout the world including several trips to Europe on a Shengen visa. Her passport is filled with stamps.

I am her only source of income and have been for many years. She owns her own house free and clear and has a 12 year old son living with her.

Any assistance with this would be appreciated.

Her passport filled with visas and entry stamps should be helpful to her. However, the two US tourist visa rejections may be questioned. If she had obtained the Shengen visa after the US rejections, then the Europeans were not bothered by the prior US rejections.

She could also consider visiting other countries nearby, such as Peru or Brazil, where Thais do not need tourist visas.

And is she going to get to Mexico via a U.S. airport? Because she will need a U.S. visa of some description even if the plane only lands and she doesn't get off it.

An American friend living in San Diego who has a Thai wife applied for a US visa and was told it can take up to a year . Not wanting to be separated from his wife for a year, he rented an appartment in Tijana on the US/Mexican border intending to drive down every weekend to stay with his wife.

The Mexican consul in San Diego however had other ideas. It seems he is terrified of offending the US government and worried she will enter the US illegaly, possibly in the boot of his car !

Only after numerous visits phone calls and assurances was the visa for this wife of a US citizen granted, so beware.....it won't be easy !
