Hi all

Currently in a bit of a pickle. I previously worked as a teacher in TL in the public school system. Like most teachers I met in a similar situation, despite what was written on my contract and despite all the paperwork being supplied, no work permit was ever given. This was one of the reasons for me leaving 12 months ago. I have since been offered a position for a MNC at manager level and want to apply for a work permit.

My concern is that if they ask why I was here working for 12 months (on and off as I was just filling in), no work permit was obtained?

Will this lead to my instant arrest, jail and being forced to pose for a photo while pointing at my passport? Or just refusal of my WPermit?

Any one else been in a similar situation able to offer advice would be greatly appreciated

cheers

"They" who, and why should ask? A work permit application is about your future work, not past one and much less if it was non-formal.
