Where do I need to go to get a re-entry stamp for my retirement visa?

Featured Replies

Can someone tell me where I need to go to get a re-entry stamp for my retirement visa? Can I get it at the airport at time of departure or do I need to go to Chang Wattana? Thanks.

You apply at the immigration Office where you live or at the airport when leaving.

Yup ^^^, you can get a re-entry permit at the airport 24/7.

Just to clarify, do you actually NEED a re-entry permit, are you on an Extension of Stay (from immigration), or a still valid multi-entry retirement VISA (from an embassy outside Thailand) or something else?

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

You can get a re-entry permit at both airports in Bangkok 24 hours a day.

At Suv it will cost 1200 baht for a single entry because they do the form, copies and photo for you.

Thanks for that. I am on an extension of stay issued at Chaeng Wattana.

Thanks UJ. Do I need to go to an office at Suv or do I just do it as I go?

At Suv the re-entry permit desk is at departure immigration.

It is located just past immigration now according to a recent report.

In JUly they had one desk set up and it was at the South Immigration area, so had to walk from the north after going thru Immigration and then walk back out to the desk. No big deal the ladies were efficient and helpful everything done in about 15 min.

Thanks for all the the help. From what you are saying it sounds like I have to check in for my flight and then go through immigration and then get the re-entry stamp. Is it possible for me to get it at the airport the day before my flight? I just dont want to wait until the last minute due to Murphys Law. If anything can go wrong, I would rather it be the day before I leave! Thanks.

You have to be checked in for your flight and have a boarding pass to get it at the airport.

To get it earlier you would have to go to CW.

is it also possible to get a re-entry permit at CNX?

A re-entry permit can be obtained for any permit to stay and would be valid up to the date it ends.

CNX has very few mid-night flights and I'd be on a daytime flight so that should work. Thx.
