Fire destroys 15 houses at a community in Bangkok's Udomsuk area

BANGKOK, 27 August 2014 (NNT) - A fire broke out at a large community in Bangkok’s Udomsuk area, setting 15 houses ablaze and leaving 5 people injured. Fortunately, nobody died from the incident.

Police from the Bang Na Police Station have received a tip-off that a fire broke out at the Thanin Community located between Soi Udomsuk 19 and 21.

The flames spread quickly, as it was a tight-knit community where houses were built close to one another. About 800 people are estimated to be living in the area. Residents frantically rushed out of their homes to escape the fire.

At least ten fire trucks were deployed and it took more than an hour to put out the fire, which was suspected to be sparked by a short circuit at a factory within the community.

A total of 15 houses were damaged and five people were injured. Two of them were taken to the Siridhorn Hospital whereas the other three only suffered minor injuries.

I hope everyone and everything recovers and Thailand starts some zoning regulations and building code creation and enforcement (dreaming).

this is what the greedy businessman do, when they want to take back the land quickly... set the poor's house on fire.
