Windows troubleshooting in Thai

Featured Replies

A few days ago I visited the Windows website as i had an issue.

It asked me for my exact location to provide me with more accurate help, or something to that extend.

I clicked Thailand from the drop down menu, knowing that was a mistake, and the site changed to Thai language.

Since that day whenever I visit the troubleshooting from Windows it will appear in Thai, and I can't find a way to revert it.

Any suggestions ?

Before someone suggest changing my language and location settings on my PC, they are set to US from the day I installed Windows 7.

Whats wrong with your OS anyway?

Nothing wrong with the OS, but when I tried to update to Explorer 11, during the updating process it would always give me the message, "failure to configure windows update, reverting back" or something like that.

The troubleshooter learned me that I first have to manually uninstall Explore 9, from the update history, since that is applied as a previous update.

So by now I have downloaded the explorer 11 update 7 times, thereby wasting almost 1Gb in 3G data I assume, and each time when configuring windows is at 98% it says failure to configure reverting changes. It doesn't say what is wrong, it just removes all the downloaded data, and you can start guessing what is wrong.

So a tech giant like Microsoft can't for example even figure out how to automatically remove previous version of their product when updating ? Or tell you what you should configure on your PC so the update will succeed.

Will I ever bother again with downloading a MS product ? I don't think so.

I just can't believe that such a company can be so stubborn.

Genuine Windows? Sometimes it is just easier to back up and Factory Restore.

Have you tried downloading the FULL (Offline) installer? windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/ie-11-worldwide-languages

doesn't mean it will work (especially if your system is misconfigured) but it would be easier/quicker to troubleshoot, that is right up to the moment you throw it into a nearby pond.

And re-download all the updates on a limited 3G connection ?

So the Windows trouble shooter told me I had to manually remove Explorer 9 to be able to install IE 11. I removed IE 9 successfully, but still wasn't able to install IE 11, so I gave up on it and installed FF 31 instead.

A few days I got a notification that I had 1 important update waiting. It was an update to install IE 9 facepalm.gif
