Forst off all i would like to know how to stop, someone hacking into your emails.

When you delete your emails you can redirect them to another account, to stop hacking. Is this true or not?

If this is true is their a way of putting all your deleted stuff into an I Box or a drop box, with a code so everything you delete on your computer ei synced to the one place, then when the box is full you delete it?

And is a router better to have with one computer, or not?

And what is the best antivirus to have with your security to have with one computer?

Anif a router is necessary, what is the best one?

And how can you find out theIP address on your computer?

1. Use a better password

2. It's possible - but depends on the systems you are using.

3. see 2.

4. Better in what sense?

5. Depends on what operating system you have.

6. see 4.

You don't really say what problem you are having, exactly.

You don't say if someone has physical access to your computer, or if they are hacking into it.

You don't say whether they are in the same place you are with another computer sharing your files. If they are you can make sure none of your files are shared.

If someone who has no access to your computer is hacking into it from afar, you might have malware that's sending them information.

If you don't a router is the best firewall you can get that doesn't take a lot of knowledge. To people on the internet, it just looks like a computer which it is, and they can't see the other computers behind it. I'd have a router even if I only had one computer behind it. As for brand, Ford, Chevy, Toyota...?? I use Linksys for home use but others are just as good. Cisco is the gold standard but it does a lot you don't need and it's expensive and a little complicated.

What exactly is the problem you're having?

If I suspected malware, I'd run more than one antivirus. Some will miss what others will find. AVG is free and works well.

If he'd stick with me, and answer every question I asked him, I'd run it to ground.

Right now I really don't even know what problem he is having that prompted the post.

Change your password and scan your computer for viruses/keyloggers etc and your account should be safe until you make it unsafe again.

And in the case that the 'hacker' used social engineering on you, make sure that your secret question (account recovery / password recovery) is something only you would know that you haven't told anybody.

I had this problem before, with someone I know, I found out from someone else.

They got into my computer, and had the software serial numbers on the hardware, and software, so they could redirect my email to their computer, and files.

so i have had my computer hacked many times, i can see the mouse moving on it's own and things, but on my computer, and then moved in maybe two days.

I have windows 7 with Microsoft security, and Kaspersky Pure 3.0

Iam not an excerpt on computer, as i am only learning four years and these people work with computers twenty years, and are good at hacking.

1. So my question is a router with WIFI, WPA2 Encryption and hardware, firewall with ADSL WAN, 3G VOIP and four ethernet Ports the best router.

2. And to hide my IP address? they say Bitderfender Antivirus Plus 2015 is the best? is this better than Kaspersky Pure 3.0 better?

3. I heard of I Password where you can but all your files, and I think your emails, and then have a code, so you could you sync everthing to this box,

And delate when it is full, these are my three question, I would like MR Never Sure to answer, as I think he knows, all about security, Thank you

First of all, I'm glad I qualify to reply!!!

1. Don't put one foot in front of the other, this should stop you right away. As far as hacking MY emails, you don't need to worry about that.

2. Again stop worrying about my E-mail. As far as hacking deleted e-mail... If you are that concerned about security don't use unencrypted e-mail. Infact, if you ARE that concerned, 007, don't use a computer at all, you do not have the knowledge or skills to ensure that your communications or data are secure. And no, neither do I.

3. Don't know what you are talking about.

4. Better than what? A router does not provide ANY security by itself. If you want a firewall, you need a firewall. Consumer focused routers come with security features in the firmware that are not required for the actual job of routing packets. Some are better than others. In short WHAT router are you talking about James?

5. I don't know, I don't run AV software at all.

6. Necessary for what.

7. I can find the IP on MY computer by typing ifconfig. YMWPBD.

And wear sunscreen.

That answer means nothing, it did not answer one question, you don't know much about security on computers.

Given your demonstrated expertise on the subject, I will give your evaluation all the consideration it deserves.

If you want better answers, ask better questions. Also, hang around the board while serious people attempt to donate their time to help you out. SFB.

But trust me on the Sunscreen. cheesy.gif

Sir, I can't answer your questions because you haven't answered mine.

I don't think anyone reading this thread, and some are experts, know what your problem is nor do they understand your questions. If we could have you answer my questions, then let me ask some more when I have that information, and go back and forth like that we could get your problem solved. But many of your comments either don't make sense or they don't seem to be related.

I can tell you about the router. Any good home router is also a very good firewall. You don't need to change or spoof your IP address. Unless someone has managed to install malware on your computer that sends him information, he can't see past your router to tell what's behind it much less hack it.

If someone is getting into your computer by being in your location and sharing your network, you need to tell us that so that we can tell you how to secure your password and how to make sure your files aren't shared on that network.

If you really want help, go back to my first post and answer all of my questions. Otherwise I have no idea what you even want.

Someone close to you has access to remote desktop and possibly your log in passwords. Change it all. Re-install a new version of windows, or different OS. assign a good password to log in(don't leave the system open to everyone who sits in front) Go through all your online accounts and change the passwords (good passwords!).

If this person, still has access to you house, change the locks/keys and/or turn of usb/disk boot in the bios of your computer as well.

forget the routers, spam/virus folders, etc. you have/had a local problem.

No way. No one here has even a clue as to what problem he's really having. His statements are disjointed and don't make sense.

Remote Assistance is good for only one session after which a new request must be sent. While the assistance is being given, the remote helper can't change or delete files, or respond to security pop ups that warn that changes are being made. The owner has to do that.

Now, if after this one last try he doesn't answer my questions so that all of us can get a clue what his problem even is, I'm outta here.

For someone who knows so little, he needs to ask and respond instead of "telling."

Remote assistance and remote desktop are two different things, but to make things simple:

" i can see the mouse moving on it's own and things" Someone has persistent remote access. Install a new Windows copy (don't use the same disk or passwords!!!)

"they could redirect my email to their computer, and files." Change all the passwords (using the newly installed Windows)

Ok. Well that was poorly worded to say the least. Its not remote assist nor remote desktop, but remote control one way or another. Sorry.

someone has control on his system and he needs to cut that out.

Team viewer can be set up for unattended access if he sees the mouse moving facepalm.gif something isn't right, anyway i think you should just reinstall your Operating System just to be sure you obviously don't have to much of a clue whats happening on your comp. if a remote control software was installed with an administrator account on your computer, it is a legit software and no security whatsoever will see it as insecure, because your administrator installed it thumbsup.gif.

people here can only help you as far as your knowledge of your system lets em. hope that makes sense :P reinstall then make 2 accounts 1 User and 1 administrator, always log in with user account only use the admin account to install software. do not install any software from emails or and other untrusted source. and you should be safe good luck.

Hacking is a term used to describe someone cutting a cake with an axe instead of a cake-knife.

emails should all be redirected to /dev/null

A dropbox is a box with very poor quality tape holding the bottom together.

If the mouse moves on it's own - feed it.!.!

If the cursor moves on it's own, the mouse-mat is on a slope.

I don't take medicine - there's nothing wrong with me ! w00t.gif

try this command -- mv /* /dev/null wink.png

N.B. >> This is a joke :P

If you do that your whole system will be wiped out -- but maybe that is a solution for your problems too?

I looked at your question and Sue's reply.. You have also replied but still not elaborated on your questions.

Your router has a firewall unless its really cheap like freebies from the telcos.

Windows has a built in firewall. Avast Free anti virus and it web browser plugin will help also help protect you.

I would suggest looking up basic pc security on youtube in your own language or hiring an expert.
