PHUKET: A 61-year-old Chinese tourist drowned while vacationing in Koh Phi Phi on Friday (September 5).

Rescuers attempted to save Yuhua Wang, 61, after pulling her out of the water. She was transferred to Vachira Hospital for treatment later in the day.

Shortly before 7pm, Ms Wang was pronounced dead by doctors.
