Random redirect to Thai Police: http://www.tcsd.info/

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm on 3BB using google DNS (8.8.8.8) and I've been getting random redirects from all sorts of websites all day. None of these websites are pornography related or political in any way shape or form.

Before I try to figure out what's going on I'd like to check if anyone else is having this happen too?

Was it the Daily Mail?

Can you give some examples of those websites so we can test for you?

Randomly or Consistently (for a given url)? Randomly, or intermittently would be very strange.

If consistently, please see the ThaiVisa announcement: Urgent Notice to Members

The NCPO (Thailand National Council for Peace and Order) has redirects on a LOT of websites, foreign and domestic, from being viewed from within Thailand via the so-called "Great Firewall of Thailand".

If you are getting this message, it's happening for a reason and you are cautioned NOT to discuss it in the forums, other than mentioning how it makes you feel.

It's intermittent. I can't give specific examples as if I cache my browser and retry it works. Last one was a few moments ago. It should have been a standard 404 "Page not found"... was redirected. Very strange, and not news, politics, gambling, drugs, or porn.

I'm on an TOT FTTx fiber connection here, and don't use google's DNS servers as they turn out to be a bit slow for me. Haven't had any 403, 404, or redirects except for the Daily Mail links in my news feeds.

Very strange. But then again I imagine you being a rebel, and I'm told these sort of things happen to rebels intermittently. Well, it was nice chatting with you but I probably should be heading in another direction, just in case.

Makes me feel quite happy to be using a VPN, thank you for asking! tongue.png
