patongphil
Is there anyone out there who has experience bringing up a child with PWS in Thailand, or indeed any information on hospitals, doctors, support groups etc relating to PWS and it's management? Any help or direction greatly appreciated thanks.

Sheryl
There is a Thai Facebook page put up by Thai parents with a child who has it. https://th-th.facebook.com/pages/PWS-Thailand-Balloons-family-/129946363712219 that's a close to a support network as I know of. Western-style patient/caretaker support groups are not very common here even for common diseases. There are Thai physicians with experience managing the condition, though not a lot. However given a choice I would have some reservations about raising a child with this here. For one thing, Thai society can be rather harsh on people with disabilities, especially developmental ones and ones that give an altered appearance. For another, auxiliary rehab services like OT etc are not widely available and not well developed. And will cost a lot.
