Dear Sir/Madam,

is it possible to get a work permit without Bachelor or Master degree ?

I just hold TEFL-certificate (3-months-teachers´training at a private language school). Thank you

a year ago, a young man with an Australian high school diploma was hired by a government high school. They claimed he wasn't a teacher though, but that was what he did. He got both, a WP and the status changed at Immigration.

It depends on the kind of school.

For work at regular schools you will need to have at least a bachelor degree or no teaching license (waiver) will be issued and thus no work permit or extension of stay.

For language schools there is no such requirements, neither is there for universities.

In other words, you can work but your opportunities are more limited.

What are eligibility and other terms and conditions required to get work permit for non native english teachers ? Is there any other additional benefit for having verbal and written knowledge of thai language ?
