Hi,

I recently (August) got a Single Non-O based on having Thai daughter with my g/f and am in the process of going through court to get legitimized which might take another month or so to complete d/t my rotational work out of country. Due to this I will have to get a 60 day extension for this visa. My questions which I would be grateful if TV members could clarify are below noting I have been through previous posts but just want to make 100% sure incase things have changed recently.

1. Below is the list of things I believe? I need to get a 60 day extension in CW Bangkok (copied and pasted from TV members post - many thanks!):-

Copy of your main passport page
Copy of your visa in the passport
Copy of your TM6
Correctly filled out TM7 complete with correct size photograph
Copy of child's birth certificate
Copy of your girlfriends ID card
Copy of the first page of the family book
Copy of the page that shows your child in the family book
1900 Baht fee

2. Secondly, how far in advance can I apply for the extension? as I am due to leave Thailand in a little under 3 weeks and not due to return until after the expiry date of original Non-O (5th nov)

3. My third question is that if I receive 60 day-extension does the 60 days "add on" to the expiry date of the original Non-O - my visa expires on 5th November or to the date I get the actual extension?

Many Thanks for any help received

1. it is not a family book, but a household registration.

2. You can apply a few weeks in advance, even 45 days at CW-road.

3.It will add 60 days to the current permisison to stay.

Note:

4. Don't forget a re-entry permit for travel.

5. it is also possible to get an extension based on being involved in a court procedure. Up to 90 day at a time.

Thanks Mario for reply.

I hadn't realised about getting 90 days based on court proceedings. Do you know what proof I would need for this? Would a letter from my lawyer stating case number etc be suffice?

On a bit of a separate topic, regarding the actual court decision of legitimizing my baby, do you know if the court decision is made on the same day that I would attend for interview? My final 'interview' at the local court is end of November and I am due to leave the country a few weeks after this hoping to sort the 1 year extension out in this time if I was to receive a favourable decision.

As always, thank you in advance for your help!
