Tonight, our mutual Thai friend told us that the thai boyfriend has a history of violence. From what I can tell from this conversation, it is talking about murder. Can anyone help translate it a bit better. I am concerned for my friend. Thank you

The conversation is between "boy" (I presume the boyfriend) and "wife" (เมียหลวง).

"wife" repeatedly says "cheat, kill" with a few variations and a complaint that he didn't answer his 'phone.

I'm not familiar with Line and how it's used, and my interpretation could be completely wrong, but I take this to be the boy's wife threatening to kill him if he's cheated.

The wife comes across as a complete psycho.

No, it's just mundane stuff such as "have you eaten", "I'm having a hangover", lottery numbers... etc etc.

For the record, looking at this chat log, there's nothing in there which indicates any of them being "psychos" or anything out of the ordinary actually. Both actually seems quite cute...

Also, Line Chat has something called "stickers" which is graphical smileys or reaction faces, and this is used extensively in this chat log, so parts of it is totally unknown. Could be a "smiley" or "sad face" or whatever reaction face.

The handle name of the woman he is chatting with is "เมียหลวง ลวงสังหาร" which contains the word "สังหาร" which means to assassinate, so this is probably what your google translate has picked up. "เมียหลวง" does indeed mean "major wife" as opposed to "เมียน้อย" which means "mistress". However, "เมียหลวง ลวงสังหาร" is just a handle she use on Line Chat, so this will be the handle that ALL her friends will see, so it doesn't necessary mean that she's this dude's "major wife", nor his "assassin".

In Thailand, there's a saying: "อย่าไปเสือกเรื่องผัวเมียเขา เดี๋ยวจะกลายเป็นหมาหัวเน่า"

Google translate may not be able to translate that properly, but you should ask one of your Thai friends what it means....

I've translated everything except the stickers; there is nothing of any value to anyone in doing this, but I sometimes have the choice of doing work, or doing something pointless. This is typical conversation between two close friends or BF/GF. It is a bit disjointed due to the stickers which I don't know and can't see. All language is friendly and pretty close to the same pointless conversations we have with our friends (in Thai it's did you eat yet did you sleep yet, what are you doing etc etc, in white people's English the equivalent would be did you invest savings in a mutual fund, have you met my friend's cockapoo yet, have you sipped a glass of pinot noir yet, how do you like them apples, how about those yankees etc)

Actually, there were nothing about murder.

เมียหลวง = the first wife

ลวง = cheat

สังหาร = murder

Together is the media wording describe the first wife pretend to be ok, but in the same way she is trying hard to catch the minor wife.

The local media names one of the actress เมียหลวงลวงสังหาร as she published the record of her conversation with the mother of her minor wife (the minor is the actress too) asking the mother to stop her daughter relationship with the first wife's husband.

Then some thai girl names herself like that actress.
