When I got my new passport I had my Non-Imm O Visa transferred, but didn't have time that day to get the

Multiple Reentry Permit transferred.

Does anyone know if I can use the Reentry Permit in my old passport? I suppose I could just pay for a new one

at Suvannabhumi Airport if necessary. I only need to use it once more!

Thanks for any wisdom.

You should have had it transferred. Not sure if they will accpet it in the old passport and the only way to find out is trying when you come back.

So might indeed be better and safer to get a new one at the airport.

I will be renewing my retirement visa and getting a re-entry permit soon and then flying to UK, where I will get my new passport. I obviously won't be able to get the re-entry permit in my new passport, so surely they will accept it in my old passport. If not, then that would mean restarting the retirement visa all over again.

Has anyone actually used a re-entry permit that's in their old passport?

No problem. Be sure to have both passports and show them both to immigration. At the airport they will stamp you in and tell you to go to your own immigration office to traasfer the details and complete the process.

You will not have a problem using the re-entry permit in your old passport when you enter the country.

Many people have done it after getting a new passport outside the country.

They don't transfer visas. Do you mean you have an extension of stay and they entered the extension information in your new passport? If so, why didn't they put the re-entry information in your new passport as well? When I had stamps transferred into a new passport they put in all the information that would be needed in future.
