Anyone else poisoned by the ice in a Pattaya bar ?

I eat gai yang regularly off the street so to speak.

Had some today in fact. Never had a problem.

I like the people who do the whole chicken on the rotisserie on soi boukow 150baht for a whole chicken very deiicious

LOL. Sometimes you may be literally eating off the street... when they accidentally drop the food and then pick it up and sell it later on.

Scary as it might be the street food might be cleaner than some of the kitchen food in Pattaya

I got sick twice in 25 years. Both entirely my fault. One ham and cheese sandwich on the beach and another time seafood spaghetti. ..

I doubt it was the ice per say. Same ice is delivered to 100 ' s of Bars and we would have more comments about it if the ice was contaminated at source. I would suspect some contamination at the bar from lack of sanitation, like when glasses are washed etc.

The combination of watered down drinks, and "dirty" ice, makes me

always choose bottled drinks, where I don't need to add ice or mixers ....

Better save than sorry, is my motto - I don't mind a couple of beers one

night out ... they are always cold, and hard to mess up if you buy bottles ...
