Dog Coming As Excess Luggage

Featured Replies

Hi

We will be arriving at Chiang Mai airport with our pet dog who is coming as excess baggage in the cargo hold. Does anyone know where we will pick him up from? Also what happens when we do?:o

I've seen a couple of cats each in their own rigid plastic carrier going round the luggage belt along with the suitcases at Chiang Mai. Made me smile (and still does :o ) but the cats didn't seem to be seeing the funny side of it. I would assume that your dog will get the same treatment but what happens after that I have no idea.

call and ask you airline or Chaing Mai airport. they might give an answer .. get a same answer at least from 2 people cause sometimes they know different stories. hope your dog have a pleasure flight :o

I assume you arriving from overseas and will travel thru Don Muang if this is the case you will find your "pet" with all the other luggage going around in a never ending oblonic circle on the carousel.

When you remove him/her you then have to go to quarantine and complete the appropriate paperwork (quarantine can cost 2000 baht this is for the housing and food which does not actually exist but makes everything look legal)

Good luck
