Looking For Company That Keeps An Eye On Our House

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am new to this forum, so I would like to say hello, first :o

I'm currently living in Germany with my wife and we have a house in the very southern part of Samui.

So my question to you is: Do you know a reliable company in Samui that cares for houses. I mean, we are looking for someone who waters the plants twice a week, keep an eye on things, that they are not going wrong and is ready for calling us in Europe if there's any problems about the house or the land?

Does anyone have experience or uses already similar services from local companies or private people?

Thanks in advance, greetings Dirk & Dhom

You would probably do better to get a maid/housekeeper who can come in daily, better still one who can speak, write english. I get regular email updates from ours which is great, on site management totally useless as are most management companies anywhere, take the money, never answer emails and don't even bother cleaning when they know you are arriving!

Found out it is a good idea to open house up regular, put air con on and flush toilets etc, and everything gets dirty quite quickly so someone coming in keeping in clean is useful.

Our office in Samui would be happy to help. The office mgr has a great reputation and referrals of clients that we do this for.

Thanks a lot for the answers :o

I think I will contact the company even I would prefer a private person: The problem is reliabilty!

The last person - who even stayed in the house for free - who cared for everything just moved out last month. She took the water pump with her, even teared the pipes out of the ground because they were heavily connected to the pump. She also did not forget to take the ground stones in the bathroom with her (maybe god knows what she will do with them!).

However, I am sick of the "Thai cheat farang because Farang is too stupid" game - so let's have a look what a commercial company has to offer...

Greetings, Dirk

Dirk, I am sure you will be ok with Sunbelt. It the Samui branch are anything like the Thailand franchise owner, they you will be fine.

You are allways better off with a company, as you have something to chase after if something goes wrong. If Somchai the local pedals off on his bike with your water pump, you dont have a lot of recourse eh.

It kinda suxks that this is the case, but it really is the case!!
