If an ambulance was needed for a medical emergency, what telephone number should be used in Bangkok?

But for most people much more efficient to take closest taxi if able - ambulance service is normally used for transport between hospitals rather than emergency use if in Bangkok due to the traffic delays.

1669 would be a main dispatch number. from there they send the closest unit from whatever hospital or EMS station is closer to your location.

1724 is Bangkok Emergency Services covering some of the private hospitals.
