stress, mindset and weight

Featured Replies

A couple of weeks ago I had it relative relaxed and a hard time to maintain my weight...often hungry.

Now we have a Million problems in the office, and it is extreme stressful and I am not hungry. I have no time for eating and somehow my body accept that and I am not hungry.

Another example: Before in bicycle racing on an exercise day, the group did well, full of power....they pass a restaurant which has some extreme delicious smell, and a few hundred meters later everyone has the complete brake down from low sugar levels.

Another example: With a Muslim taxi driver we went very far in a difficult situation (floodings in the south), we both didn't eat for a long time. We had to wait close to barbecue place and nice burned pork smell entered the car. I felt my stomach contracting in hunger. He was just annoyed and tried to get the smell out of the car.

Another example: I never liked sweet and I would never eat some cheap ice cream as I know what is in it (that is my education) Sure the Muslim taxi driver would get hungry seeing some ice cream. I not.

Anyone has an idea or read something about that. Somehow part of our hunger is controlled by our mind. That may opens possible tricks to make a diet easier.

Any ideas?

I tend to eat more to cope with higher level of stress. Thinking of suing my past employers for gaining extra weight 5555.

Used to drink lots of Coca Cola, and then stopped buying it. I will drink one once in a while, but no more craving while shopping.

Do you fell uncomfortable when there is not much happening at work or when it's too quiet?

Well when it is busy, I don't eat breakfast and rush into the office. And under stress I kind of forget to eat. At 11 AM I do 1 hour exercise and drink one protein shake and rush back into the office. I have no coke at home. But when there is apple juice in the fridge I tend to empty 1 liter almost at once (I think I crave the sugar), which makes me feel sick so I don't do it anymore.

(feel sick because 1 liter cold apple juice on a stomach that hadn't seen something for 18 hours doesn't feel well).

When it is quite I feel tired, bored and unwilling to work.....

I had a computer crash and that was dangerous for my income. I did not even eat breakfast and only ate my first meal around 4pm. Normally I would never do that so stress makes me eat less.

I feel when I don't have much to do I will eat but when real busy I could forget about it.
