Police lose two prisoners being transported to Pattaya Court

run-1.jpg

PATTAYA: -- An investigation is currently underway into how Banglamung Police managed to lose two prisoners who were being transported to the Pattaya Court on Monday afternoon.

Khun Jackgrit aged 21 and Khun Nuchar aged 25 had been earlier arrested for stealing, and were being transported to the Pattaya Court for an initial hearing into the case.

For some reason the pair were transported on the back of a regular Police truck instead of a secure prison vehicle. As the truck reached the Sukhumvit Road in North Pattaya, close to Soi Sawang Far, the two men jumped off the truck and appeared to have slipped out of handcuffs.

The pair were seen to run into a nearby woodland area and despite over 20 officers being called in to search for the men, they could not be found.

Got to love " for some reason "

Even better question is why was not there an officer in the back with them ?

Too hot or too much common sense ?

Prisoners in that situation are handcuffed to an anchor point in the back of the pickup so normally they're not going anywhere, therefore there is no need for an officer to be in the bed of the vehicle. Why should an officer have to suffer the discomfort of travelling with the prisoners?

That the prisoners where able to slip their handcuffs on this occasion is what is not normal.

I believe it was a confluence of bad luck.

Usual truck not available

Poor quality handcuffs as a result of limited budget (probably biodegradable)

No leg restraints (all being utilised at the time)

no escort in the back of truck because of overcrowding. Remember 3 is a crowd?

Never mind stuff happens. Just bad luck.

Anyone suggesting otherwise is a conspiracy nutters probably

"For some reason the pair were transported on the back of a regular Police truck". For some reason - that's a joke, right? No one on the police force can think of a single logical reason why this might have happened. (HINT - it involves baht.)

I don't think they got away because of money in this case. Inability to think ahead or think period.... I am surprised prisoners didn't just say "We don't want to go to court". Worked for son of Red Bull....

Too crowded? Ever look at how they cram them in that work construction jobs?

<script type='text/javascript'>window.mod_pagespeed_start = Number(new Date());</script>

...would it be slander to publish their full names...or even mug shots.....???

...they have been 'caught stealing' and going for sentencing........???

...it might help in their recapture......

The 2 thieves were caught after stealing from over 500 houses in a number of private villages, mine included. Mug shots in glorious color were sent to me.

I wont post the pics because I wouldn't want to break the law.

They only "appeared" to have slipped their handcuffs......if an officer had suffered the discomfort of guarding them, he wouldn't have to suffer the greater discomfort of explaining why they escaped. Seems a good enough reason to me.
